While Neha Tiwari was "researching this topic, I found much of what I expected;depictions of powerless women in video games and gamer media. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the attitude of males towards women in video games and how well they responded to empowered/strong female characters." I can so relate to being a girl in tech. I like the fact that they have built in an opportunity for GIT to be everywhere! Nice job, I look forward to hearing what this smart women in tech have to say.

I've been saying this ever since this was proposed. And part of the reason that I haven't gotten another passport recently, that and the $100 cost… *sigh*

This is hitting home for me, because I live in North Carolina, and MY state Senator proposed this to the NC Senate. I have an email being composed to that Senator and the other email addresses listed here. I want to live in Wilson! With 10MB up/down for $35 when TimeWarner wouldn't give them service! In these troubled times *drink* rates need to be competitive and governments should protect their citizens, NOT the companies that lobby OUR representatives.

This is outlandish. I get that they aren’t in stock, but why was $154.54 picked as the default price. Very strange.

Wonderful pictures of spring in the northern hemisphere, with various celebrations of the vernal equinox, all over the world.

"…the smell didn’t go away and other strange things started happening. The metal coil on the central air conditioner turned black and then became so badly corroded it had to be replaced after just a few months. The mirrors in the bathrooms turned black. The Kampfs had to replace the motherboard on their computer three times and their son’s Xbox stopped working—after two repairs they bought a new one." wow. This is horrific and widespread apparently. There have been "complaints from California, Arizona, Ohio, Texas, Louisiana, Nevada, the Carolinas, Georgia, Mississippi, Virginia and other states. "
